STRATHFEST 2023 & 2024
Dear parents, entrants, schools, and supporters,
Following the call for new members this autumn, the Strathfest committee has decided it will not be possible for us to go ahead with a music festival in March 2023, as we had hoped. With no Chair or Secretary, and most of the few current members in busy full-time work and/or juggling family life, we simply aren’t in a position to administer the necessary duties this winter to make a spring festival happen next year. We very much want you to keep Strathfest in mind over the course 2023 however, and not only do we anticipate a grand relaunch in the spring of 2024, but will also be organising concerts and fundraising events to involve performers from the 2022 festival and professional musicians connected to the festival. As a part of cultural life in Badenoch and Strathspey for over 60 years, the festival has offered a vital platform and performance opportunity for young, and older, performers all over the National Park, and we would call again on those keen to see it maintained to come forward to offer their support as committee members. Do please look out for updates on forthcoming events by email and on our website.
